VidVote Community Guidelines

Our Community Guidelines are designed to ensure our community stays protected. They set out what’s allowed and not allowed on VidVote, and apply to all types of content on our platform, including videos, comments, links, and thumbnails.
If you find content that violates any of these policies, please report it to VidVote at contact@vidvote.com.

We do not allow spam or deceptive practices including, but not limited to the following:

1. VidVote does not allow anything that artificially increases the number of views, likes, comments, votes or other metric through the use of automatic systems.
2. Content intended to impersonate a person is not allowed on VidVote. VidVote also enforces trademark holder rights. When content causes confusion about the source of the content, it may not be allowed.
3. Links that send users to websites featuring content that violates our Community Guidelines are not allowed on VidVote.
4. VidVote does not allow spam, scams, or other deceptive practices that take advantage of the VidVote community. We also do not allow content where the main purpose is to trick others into leaving VidVote for another site.

We do not allow sensitive content, including, but not limited to the following:

1. VidVote does not allow content that endangers the emotional and physical well-being of minors. A minor is defined as someone under the legal age of majority – usually anyone younger than 18 years old.
2. Explicit content meant to be sexually gratifying is not allowed on VidVote. Posting pornography will result in content removal and IP ban and block.
3. At VidVote, we take the health and well-being of all our video submitters and viewers seriously. Awareness and understanding of mental health is important and any submittal that could be viewed as glorifying or any way promoting depression, self-harm or other mental health issues is not allowed.
4. Some language may not be appropriate for viewers under 18. VidVote may consider the following factors when deciding to age-restrict or remove content; use of sexually explicit language or narratives; use of excessive profanity in your video; or use of heavy profanity in your video’s title or associated metadata.
5. Religious or Political content.

We do not allow violent or dangerous content, including, but not limited to the following:

1.  Content that threatens individuals is not allowed on VidVote. We also do not allow content that targets an individual with prolonged or malicious insults based on intrinsic attributes, including their protected group status or physical traits.
2. VidVote does not allow content that encourages dangerous or illegal activities that risk serious physical harm or death.
3. Hate speech is not allowed on VidVote. We remove content promoting violence or hatred against individuals or groups.
4. Content intended to praise, promote, or aid violent organizations is not allowed on VidVote.
5. Violent or gory content intended to shock or disgust viewers, or content encouraging others to commit violent acts are not allowed on VidVote.

VidVote Official Contest Rules

  1. VidVote LLC is solely responsible for the VidVote contest experience. The VidVote giveaway or contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with any third party platform including, but not limited to by way of example Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Google, TikTok or any other third party.
  2. No purchase is necessary to enter or to win.
  3. The contest is open to legal residents of the United States and Worldwide where not prohibited and age 18 or older. Void where prohibited.
  4. The odds of winning are entirely dependent upon the number of entries received and the number of votes that your video submission receives.
  5. The first $5,000 winner will be selected by VidVote users based upon the video submittal that receives the most VidVote user votes through 5 p.m. EST on February 1, 2021.
  6. The winning video submission, as well as the second and third place video submission will be announced on the VidVote website at www.VidVote.com. The winner and second and third place finishers will be notified on February 1, 2021 via email prior to the public announcement on VidVote’s web site. To claim your prize winners must respond to the VidVote email with instructions on how your check should be made out and where the check should mail. Winners are responsible for any taxes owed. Winners are not responsible for postage or other delivery costs associated with their winning check.
  7. The frist $5,000 contest starts on December 1, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. EST and ends at 5:00 p.m. EST on February 1, 2021.  The $100,000 Grand Prize winner ends and will be announced December 1, 2021.
  8. To enter the contest upload your 60 second or less video on the VidVote website at www.vidvote.com.
  9. All submissions must comply with VidVote’s Community Guidelines.
  10. All submissions are subject to VidVote’s Terms of Use which, among other terms, includes provisions that you agree that when you upload your video submittal you perpetually license your video to VidVote, LLC. 
  11. VidVote reserves the right and option to change the date of the contest winners until a minimum of 250 unique video entries are received.
  12. VidVote will have final authority to allow and approve or not all video entries.
